Situated on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand, 200km from Bangkok, Hua Hin is renowned as Thailand’s oldest seaside resort. The preferred home of the Thai king, Hua Hin is a cosmopolitan city with a historic charm and beautiful coastal setting.
Hua Hin offers a wide range of attractions and activities, from water sports and heritage architecture to world class golf courses and luxury spas. Yet it blends in perfectly with its surroundings – a vast landscape of mountains, caves and waterfalls all waiting to be discovered.
Take a leisurely stroll along the beach and explore the old fishing village, with its 19th century squid piers and family-run restaurants. Hua Hin offers a wide range of exotic cuisines, from traditional Thai to the culinary delights of international food. Immediately south of Narate Dhumri Road you’ll find many famous restaurants. After dark, head to the colourful night street market, where you can browse for souvenirs and enjoy fresh seafood cooked on the spot.
Khao Sam Roi Yot, Thailand’s first marine National Park, should not be missed. Located around 60km south of Hau Hin, between Pranburi and Kuiburi, the Park encompasses a breathtaking vista of steep limestone mountains, sweeping coastline and diverse fauna. To really broaden your horizons, head north-west to Thailand’s largest National Park, Kaeng Krachan - 2,915 square metres of rainforest, mountain ranges, wildlife and spectacular panoramas.
